The Parrot

The Parrot is the oldest pub in Canterbury, and one of the oldest buildings, built on Roman foundations in the 14th century, as the famous Cathedral towers were being built just a few hundred yards away. It is located in the centre of Canterbury, a short walk from the city’s major tourist attractions. The Shepherd Neame pub has retained many of its historic features, including medieval beams, oak floorboards and three open fireplaces, just the right kind of welcome whilst the team are dedicated to making sure you enjoy every aspect of your visit.Serving well cooked, flavoursome food using quality ingredients, which are locally sourced where possible making for a truly delightfully offering. The Parrot also serves a quality range of local cask ales served in a vibrant cosy, clean & welcoming environment. Hidden away down a picturesque cobbled street in Northgate. A two minute walk away from ample parking.
