New Flying Horse Inn

Picturesque inside and out, the pub boasts nine charmingly renovated guest rooms and an enviable countryside location - the perfect base for a weekend in Kent. The pub in Wye is well located for exploring the cathedral city of Canterbury, walking on the Downs or enjoying a restful stopover to and from the continent. Wye was voted the third best place to live in the UK by the Sunday Times, and is just one hour away from London by train. The pub also boats a large garden including an authentic recreation of a Chelsea Flower Show gold medal winner- Julian Dowle’s successful design A Soldier’s Dream of Blighty. The Chelsea Pensioners’ Garden was created for the 2005 Chelsea Flower Show, with input from the Chelsea Pensioners themselves, and includes a Dig for Victory vegetable garden, a pond, a field of poppies and a miniature traditional English pub. A visual treat, it is the best place in Wye to eat, drink and relax in the summer sun.
