The Phoenix

Buckingham Palace needs no introduction. It is clearly a must see. It’s a pretty grand affair – the Queen’s HQ, it has 775 rooms in total, including 19 State rooms, over 50 bedrooms and a grand total of almost 80 bathrooms! The Palace is of course a working building and is also the centre of many Royal ceremonies and State visits. Just round the corner from the Palace is a quirky modern pub – the Phoenix. The Phoenix is five minutes from Victoria and is by no means just a tourist drop in spot. The pub is popular with local office workers during the week for good reason. The menu is seasonal and prioritises British produce in its modern dishes and there are a good range of beers and other drinks on offer. There is also a small patio garden – in case the weather holds during your visit!
